Delete your data

Last updated: 16 September 2026

Everything Avert keeps about your filter, including your rules, custom lists, blocked apps, the activity list, the lock and its waiting changes, and your settings, is stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it. You can also erase it from inside the app under Profile, Delete my data.

Data reaches our servers only if you connect a partner, if you write to us through the in-app support, or if you open the invite screen or use an invite code. Here is how to remove each of these.

Delete it in the app (instant)

  1. Open Avert and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Open Delete my data.
  3. Tap Delete everything and confirm.

This removes your rules, your activity list, the lock and your settings from the phone, and if you ever connected a partner, your anonymous account, your name, your state signals, your change requests and your push token from our server, immediately. It cannot be undone. The three protection layers stay switched on; turning them off is the lock’s business.

Request deletion (if you no longer have the app)

Write to clearpointstudios@proton.me with the subject Avert data deletion. Include whatever you still have of these, so we can find your records:

We delete the matching records within 30 days and confirm by email. Without any of the above we cannot match a request to a record, because the app holds no email address and no account name for you.

What gets deleted

Deletion happens on the server itself, and backups are overwritten within 30 days.

What is never on our servers

Your rules, your activity list, blocked addresses, search terms, app names, the lock and its settings. None of this is ever uploaded, so there is nothing of it to delete on our side. It lives only on your phone and goes with the app.
